Wholesale Silence

A Civil Rights Activist boldly stands in the face of police with guns on her calmly smoking a cigarette in a daring act of defiance. When I found this picture, I was struck by the outward calm that this brave woman portrayed, knowing that EVERYTHING around her was chaos and that inside of her must of have been a volcano of emotions about to erupt. The courage that she and so many people just like you and I, no one of note, had to stand up to the government, the police, their neighbors... These are the people who we remember won these battles for us and continue to do so. We must continue to run their race! Sample shirt shown in light pink
