Description
Make a statement with this large sterling silver medallion necklace featuring a lovely Petoskey stone. This pendant is about 1.75 inches tall including the bail and 1.7 inches wide. Petoskey stones are a fossilized coral most often found in Lake Michigan. The vast majority are found in the Little Traverse Bay region of Lake Michigan near the towns of Petoskey and Harbor Springs, Michigan. Petoskey stone is the state fossil of Michigan and beloved by rockhounds and beach walkers. This stone was found, cut, and polished here in Northern Michigan by a local craftsmen. I forged this original setting from sterling silver in my Northern Michigan workshop. The medallion pattern is embossed into the silver and I added a patina to highlight the texture. The exact Petoskey stone in the pendants that I ship to you will not be exactly like this one, but they will certainly be the same high quality. Note that the exact mandala pattern varies slightly as well. I will ship these pendants with either 18 inch or 20 inch sterling silver chains since those are the most popular choices. If you have a preference, please let me know. Each piece that leaves my workshop is marked on the back with "IE" so you know it is an IndigoEdenArts original. The .925 marking identifies it as sterling silver. Enjoy!
