Description
We present to you an original Alex Streeter carving straight from the Archives: The Keltic Mice. The two mice, along with a cat, dog, and bird were carved in 1991 as part of a collection created for the runway in collaboration with designer Mary McFadden. These animals jumped from the pages of the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript from the 9th century. Each year on Christmas, Alex would gift his daughter Lily a golden mouse symbolizing love and good fortune.
