Wholesale Reclaimed Copper Ornament: St. Raphael’s Cathedral, Madison

Reclaimed in Wisconsin. Made in Wisconsin. 4.23” Comes with a story of the material and a waxed hemp cord. No two are the same. Material: Saint Raphael Cathedral 222 West Main Street Madison, Wisconsin. The cornerstone of the cathedral was laid on the 28th of May 1854 and was presided over by the Rt. Rev. John Martin Henni, the Roman Catholic bishop of Milwaukee. In 1885, the steeple was added and remained with reconstruction efforts in 2004. Unfortunately, the cathedral fell victim to fire three months later. Reclamation efforts of the steeple began in late 2019. This piece is founded on an ecological principle of upcycling Wisconsin’s proud heritage and landscape into art for future generations, preserving the history of these buildings while bringing awareness to the need for us all to think before we consume.
