Since ancient times, the Umbrian populations have considered Christianity a point of reference not only from a religious perspective but also as a driving cultural force for local communities. Over the centuries, numerous figures of saints have provided concrete examples of social, cultural, and religious values appreciated worldwide. In Umbrian folkloric reenactments, fragments of pagan origin and Christian devotion, historical elements from different eras, and new social and cultural activities of our times can be found. After the Unification of Italy, the city of Terni transformed into an important industrial hub, undergoing a radical urban, architectural, and cultural transformation compared to other Umbrian cities. This publication is divided into three parts: The first delves into the knowledge of Saint Valentine, the second part is dedicated to presenting regional culture and folklore; finally, the last part proposes an ambitious plan and method of development for the enhancement of Saint Valentine, with religious, cultural, and recreational activities through typical regional folklore.
