Native to west tropical Africa, the heartwood color of African Mahogany varies from a very pale pink to a deeper reddish brown, occasionally presenting streaks of medium to dark reddish brown. Depending upon how its cut, the wood surface will show a ribbon stripe appearance. Each pair is finished with a high gloss epoxy resin that provides a jewel like luster while adding strength and stability to the wood. A soft cloth and an occasional gentle buffing will help you maintain the lustrous finish for years. Approximately 2 1/8 inches long and 9/16 inches wide.
