Wholesale Handpainted Portuguese Tile Coaster - Authentic from Lisbon

Handpainted Ceramic Tile Coasters, with dimensions of 11cm x 11cm. Produced in our studio in Lisbon, using the original methods from the 1840's of Portuguese tile production. The tiles are made with pressed clay (fine terracota), painted with oxides on top of white glaze. Once painted and dry, they are fired at high temperature (around 1000ºC). This means, just like the facade tiles, that they will withstand heat quite safely. We place a piece of cork on the verse of each tile, individually. This way they can be used as a coaster for drinks, teapots or even a flower vase! Although the pattern is the same, each tile comes out unique, with very slight differences due to being handpainted.
