Description
This piece depicts a sleeping princess atop a pile of stylized mattresses, from the fairytale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears". It was inspired by the work of Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, a member of the Glasgow Four who were pioneers in the Scottish version of Art Nouveau, and influential on other artists, like Klimt. This hand-made greeting card features the back of the head of a girl with blond curls in roughly a "Victorian" style with a bow. Above her are three stylized beds with the silhouette shadow shapes of three bears. Beside her are circles including illustrations of a bowl and a chair. This 5"x7" card is perfect for those interested in storytelling, fairytales, fantasy, and stylized depictions of the classics done in new ways. It is printed individually by the artist in the studio and is packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with a resealable adhesive flap closure. This card comes with a brown kraft paper envelope.
