The 6mm thick ecoYoga mat gives extra cushioning whilst still maintaining a firmness for good practice. The hessian/jute fabric is specially selected for the ecoYoga mat. The process of application allows for the full characterful nature of this jute material to be expressed; encased in ecoYoga's unique 100% natural rubber blend. Excellent for any style of yoga practice. A pure rubber non-embossed underside to grip the floor and fabric/rubber mix on top. The hessian fabric gives a tactile, pleasantly natural surface to work on whilst providing the GRIP so sought after. NOTE BENE: The underside is smooth and soft. You will be tempted to use this side for sure HOWEVER, more than the hessian side, this surface is vulnerable to the scuffs and stresses of dragging feet and rolling toes.
