Wholesale Polychrome cast-iron trivet – Grapes and strawberries – Eighties

In old kitchens, trivets were as beautiful as they were useful. This one has lost none of its character. Circular painted polychrome cast-iron trivet, 18 cm in diameter. The raised decoration depicts a blue-violet cluster of grapes in the center, flanked by two orange-red strawberries and dark green vine leaves. The stem is reddish-brown. The colors are vivid, the casting is precise, and the fruits are rendered with delicious realism. The reverse is painted solid green. Three small metal feet raise the piece and protect the table. A chrome metal hanging ring allows it to be hung on the wall or on a kitchen hook. Functional and decorative, in the tradition of French and Italian painted cast iron from the 1980s. It naturally finds its place on a stone worktop, hung on a tiled splashback, or placed as a decorative object in a characterful kitchen. Original paint present, some wear from use on the raised areas. Cast iron intact, no losses.
