This Jianzhan Tenmoku Tea Cup in Oil Spot style is a typical Chinese gongfu style tea cup. Inside, there is a silver fish, a magnificent decoration for the finest teas. The Material Jianzhan (also known as Tenmoku ceramics) has been used to make cups and accessories for tea ceremonies since the Song dynasty. In China, it was called Jianzhan, in Japan Tenmoku ceramics: the artist You Wen uses local iron-rich clay as a material to create glaze and body before firing at 1300 degrees Celsius in a kiln.
