Knauf Insulation LDS Primer - Adhesion primer based on a dispersion Product description: Universally applicable primer based on a dispersion for pre-treating the adhesion substrate and optimizing the adhesion performance of adhesive tapes and sealants. Areas of application: Porous substrates (e.g. wooden beams or masonry) are coated with Knauf Insulation LDS Primer before bonding with adhesive tapes and sealants. This improves adhesion. Suitable adhesive substrates: * Wood * Wood softboard and wood-based panels * Cement-bonded wood-based panels * Plasterboard and gypsum fibreboard * PVC pipes Substrate condition: Adhesion surfaces must be dry, clean and sound. Dust, sawdust, fats, oils and loose parts must be removed. Priming is not possible on frozen or ice-covered substrates. Processing tips: Allow Knauf Insulation LDS Primer to dry well before applying adhesive tapes (becomes transparent and slightly tacky). Drying time varies with temperature conditions and is approx. 30–60 minutes. Clean the substrate before use, shake the can well and apply Knauf Insulation LDS Primer opaquely. Coverage for an application width of 100 mm: approx. 25 to 30 linear metres. Please observe the applicable processing guidelines. The relevant standards and generally accepted rules of technology apply.
