"One of Park City's premier historic landmarks, the McPolin Farm barn provides a bucolic setting at the entrance to town. The barn was built in 1908 by Dan and Isabelle McPolin utilizing recycled timber salvaged from an old mine tailings pile and was erected by fitting timbers together without the use of nails. Local ranching families operated the barn as a dairy farm unit 1990, when Park City purchased the barn along with the surrounding farmland to maintain as open space. The landmark now welcomes residents and visitors to Park City and serve as a reminder of the area's rich history."
