The Siberian cedar covers thousands of hectares of wild forest, far from any industrial or agricultural human activity. Harvested in remote regions, amid grand landscapes, the “cedar cones” considered the “Gold of the Taiga” are popular in Russia for their sweet pine flavor. They take several years to ripen and produce their seed, a true concentrate of taste and nutritional richness. Rich in fatty acids, proteins and essential nutrients, these pine nuts are wonderful as a snack or mixed with other dried fruits. Related to the popular pine nuts, Siberian cedar pine nuts have a stronger taste. A delight! Our supply chain The cedar cone harvesters travel on horseback to sites impassable by other means of transport. Their seasonal harvest is supervised by a company responsible for selection, packaging and export, which provides an additional income for dozens of families who often live as trappers in harsh climatic conditions.
