Wholesale Lokta Marble, Red/Orange/Copper

Handmade and hand decorated paper from Nepal. Lokta is strong and versatile. It can be painted on with most media but also drawn on. It can be cut, stamped and of course glued, it is a great paper for paper crafters, collage artists, decoupage and bookmakers, as well as for printmaking. But it also makes a unique and special gift wrap or for other decorative uses. Lokta is made from the Daphne plant, commonly known as the Lokta plant. It is seasonally harvested from the base of the Himalayas and grows back each year. It is then hand process and made into pulp, the same way it has been made for centuries. These papers are a free form marble incorporating regular and metallic colors. The sheets are heavier than our other decorated papers. Because they are hand marbled, no two sheets are the same.
