The stone is often called Selenite, although the two are closely related (They are both forms of Gypsum), Selenite actually grows in large clear crystal forms. Satin Spar is a very delicate stone and can easily scratch and mark and should be handled with care. These are roughly carved from natural stone so they are not a perfect shape and flawless. Due to the nature of these stones there will be loose shards or crystal.
