Poetry, chapbook, 40 pages, from Bottlecap Features. Singing consists of lyric poems that delve into broader themes and motifs inherent to the human condition – loneliness, loss, desire. The poems take on a myriad of forms – couplets, stichic, quatrains, etc. What drives them are their more surreal images and similes while simultaneously remaining grounded in what it means to be a woman in this world. One poem begs the following question: “What matters?” It’s a difficult question to answer but Singing makes the attempt.
