Wholesale Falls Bridge (Reversing Falls) Note Card - Blue Hill Maine

Officially known as Stevens Bridge, was erected in 1926 and was – until November of 2022 – one of two surviving “rainbow” bridges in Maine. It spanned the reversing falls – with Blue Hill Bay on one side and Salt Pond on the other, and has been a favorite spot for jumping as well as practicing surfing or kayaking skills as the tide swiftly rises and rushes into the Salt Pond.
