This decorative bowl with tapestry was made in stoneware and is part of the “Threads of Earth” collection. All the pieces in this collection are always one of a kind and created with all the calm and care that only ceramics can provide. The chosen body is refractory stoneware, which withstands the highest temperatures, yet whose heart melts as it is worked, detail by detail, allowing itself to be shaped with each passing minute. And many minutes of conversation and creation pass… to the sound of the maker’s will and creativity, the gentle music playing nearby…. And the minutes turn into hours and the hours into days, in an exchange of tender gestures, a crossing of energies and secrets that close between the hands that speak and the clay that listens. When the piece is ready, it rests so it has time to dry completely while it waits to undergo the magic of the kiln. Before that, the clay was cut, serenely and unhurriedly; we applied a slip and added touches of oxides and engobes, preparing it to receive the Arraiolos wool days later.
