On Iona, Saint Martin’s Cross stands beside the abbey: tall, weathered and deeply carved. This handmade set of Anglican prayer beads carries an antiqued brass interpretation of that ancient cross, paired with green jade in shifting moss, lichen and sea-washed tones. Made by hand in Scotland as part of the full Iona Collection, these prayer beads are intended for Anglican, Episcopal and Protestant prayer. They are designed to be held in the hand and are not a necklace. There is no central Saint Columba medal on this design. The Saint Martin’s Cross is allowed to stand as its sole devotional focus, giving the prayer beads a beautifully simple and ancient character. The natural 8 mm jade beads are joined by antiqued brass links and richly detailed spacer beads. Each stone has its own markings and variations, making every finished set individual.
