This vet appreciation card came from a very personal place of inspiration, the death of my sweet black cat Petra, who was with me for 22 years. When the time came to say goodbye, I knew I wanted to bring a card and a gift to my veterinarian team, but nothing I could find had quite the right message of thanks, support and grief that I wanted to share with them. That led me to create this card with a watercolor illustration I painted of Petra in the days before her passing. It was exactly the appreciation I wanted to express to my vet and vet techs, and the process of creating it was a balm to me in those last few days with my kitty.
