Description

Pedestrian Bridge to Belle Island is a photograph of the bridge taken with an extreme telephoto lens. The result is a flattened and abstract rendering of the bridge. The limited color palette heightens the abstraction. I love the arched shapes of this bridge, which hangs down from the Belvidere Bridge, and it’s always a delight to walk over it in anticipation of getting to Belle Island. The island sits in the middle of the James River in Richmond, VA, with a path all around the perimeter. Views from the path include Downtown, Hollywood Cemetery, Riverside Drive, Manchester, and the A-Line bridge, among others. Printed on 100% recycled cardstock. 5x7” print, ready for framing. Comes wrapped in a compostable sleeve with a cardboard backing and branded packaging. Makes a great gift for Richmond lovers everywhere.
