Dittany is a unique aromatic plant that is endemic to the island of Crete. The leaves and flowers of this beautiful shrub have been traditionally used to prepare herbal teas. It has a sharp and pleasantly bitter flavor with a savory nuance that reminds us of thyme. The plant's aromatic infusion has appetite-triggering, antioxidant and digestive properties. It took us a while to track down our suppliers. They're a marvelous young family of farmers who cultivate, naturally dry, and hand-sort some of the most beautiful Dittany on their remote estate. It's truly some of the finest Dittany we've ever tasted. To make Dittany tea, you'll need a teaspoon (less than 1g) per teacup, dosage on taste. Brew for 5 minutes at 95°C and cover. Strain and serve. The infusion of Dittany can successfully substitute plain water in many recipes too. Use it to boil green beans or to marinate meat.
