The Jackrabbit Studio was founded by Abigail Springfield, a passionate mixed-media artist based in Denver, Colorado. Her journey into art was inspired by viewing North American wildlife with a naturalist eye. Abigail's work blends watercolor, pencil, ink, and gouache to create dreamy, interpretive portraits influenced by vintage western scientific illustrations and Japanese paintings. Abigail is dedicated to crafting works of art that convey narratives of nostalgia, femininity, and relationship dynamics, both within nature and the human experience. Each piece is carefully crafted on Arches cold press paper, with ultra detailed brushwork and sometimes bead embriodery. Prints are created with the intention to preserve the earthy & natural colors of the original raw materials and pigments at the highest archival quality.
