Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior came into this world in a small stable filled with the warmth of gentle animals and the love of his mom and dad. On that holy night, our blessed Lord came, that we might have eternal life and salvation. History celebrates the birth of Jesus every Christmas; it is the marker of time as well as the beloved season of joy and celebration. I loved doing this oil painting, inspired by this statue of Mary riding on the donkey holding baby Jesus while Joseph leads the way as they journey to Egypt.
