Made to order at my kitchen table in St. Louis, no two are ever alike. Some bags are made in factories. This one is made by hand, one knot at a time. The cane webbing is the same iconic material you'd find on a vintage Cesca chair, and a vegan leather base gives the bag its structure, so it holds its clean rectangular shape whether you're carrying it to the farmers market or a Saturday brunch. The cords are left long on purpose. Instead of trimming them away, I let them fall as a soft fringe that sways as you carry the bag, catching the breeze and adding that free-spirited movement you can't get from a structured bag. Because every bag is knotted by hand, the macramé crown, the cascading fringe, and the way the cord laces along the cane give each one its own personality.
