The Silk Road (it was actually many) was the trade route between China, India, Persia, and the Mediterranean, and was responsible for the distribution not only of silk, but also of knowledge, culture, and of course Spices. It seemed appropriate to name our Mulling Spices after this well traveled path as the ingredients come from many different and far flung places. Use 1-2 tablespoons per 1/2 gallon of cider or wine.
