Our Moroccan Rose Hydrosol is the product of steam distilling roses harvested in Morocco, and has a unique aroma when compared to our Bulgarian Rose Hydrosol and our Turkish Rose Hydrosols. This is the sweetest of all our Rose Hydrosols! Moroccan roses are famous througout the world. Their aroma is heady and sweet, with notes of honey. Legends say that these sweet pink roses were carried to Morocco by a merchant from Damascus. Now the Vallée des Roses is known for its abundant and fragrant flowers, and their harvest is celebrated every year. During the process of steam distilling essential oils, the smaller essential oil molecules become suspended in the steam water instead of floating to the top where the essential oils are collected. After the essential oils are collected, the remaining steam water with suspended essential oil molecules is known as the essential oil hydrosol. Hydrosols carry the same energetic imprint and therapeutic properties as essential oils, while being much gentler and in many cases more suitable.
