*Fall 2025 Limited Release* There’s nothing like peeling off the outer layer of a marshmallow to reveal the fresh, gooey insides. A little singe isn’t a problem. Mohs surgery is a procedure intended to treat skin cancer. The surgeon will remove a single layer of skin and immediately send the sample for examination under a microscope. The process repeats and continues until no cancerous cells remain in the sample. What's left is a punched out looking hole in the skin that's sutured at the completion of the surgery. During this process, cauterization may be used to control bleeding. What else has layers that peel off and has the potential to burn during the process? Marshmallows!
