Small Anthology of Pasta is precisely what it claims to be: a compact and lightweight illustrated compendium that does not pretend to resolve the eternal dichotomy between smooth and ridged pasta, but rather organizes the ancient dispute between cappelletto and tortellino and provides an overview of industrial dies, measuring in shapes, places, and prayers. Among spaghetti, spaghettini, vermicelli, and bucatini, pasta is not an exact science, but a culinary anarchy of a macaroni-eating people. Originally from the small province of Syracuse but transplanted to Catania since 2016, Asia Sabatelli is a designer with a classical education, specializing in editorial graphics. Her research focuses on the hybridization between analog and digital, alternative printing techniques, and theories of design ethics. Since 2023, she has been the co-founder of pappapane, an editorially-oriented collective operating in the field of social design and organizing co-creation events, together with small independent cultural entities and professionals from every sector.
