Seraphinite, a dark green traversed by bright silvery feather-like markings reminiscent of seraphim wings, is of an almost celestial mineral beauty. History & symbolism: Mined only near Lake Baikal in Siberia, Seraphinite (clinochlore) takes its name from the seraphim — the six-winged angels of Hebrew tradition. Its inclusions of silvery mica create moving feather patterns that Russian mystics associated with healing angels. Traditional benefits: According to crystal therapy, it is traditionally associated with the heart, the lungs, and connection to higher planes. Mental virtues: A stone of healing and spiritual connection, it is reputed to activate healing energy at all levels, open communication with spiritual guides, and foster a deep sense of peace and universal love. According to tradition, it accompanies therapists and people undergoing deep healing work. Mineral composition: Clinochlore (a magnesium-aluminum phyllosilicate), with actinolite inclusions, monoclinic system, hardness 2–2.5. Its silvery feathers are flakes of silvery mica. Exclusive deposit: Siberia, Russia (Baikal region). The properties mentioned belong to crystal therapy, a traditional approach not recognized as medicine. Mandalas jewelry and stones do not substitute for medical advice.
