ABOUT THE CHOCOLATE: The farm was founded by Ricardo Guzmán Álvarez who emigrated from Spain to Colombia in 1820 with his two brothers. The plot of land he settled on in Gigante, Huila already had some cacao growing on it. So he decided to plant more and grew it into a much larger operation which is now called Finca Casa Blanca (named after the farmhouse on the property). Today it is managed by his great-great grandson, Reynaldo Guzmán Romero. Reynaldo is 72 years old and has been working Casa Blanca for several decades already . It is the oldest and largest cacao farm in Huila. In fact, there are trees on the farm from the 1800s that are still producing today! NET WEIGHT: 25g
