You can often see larger birds clearing out feeders in a single morning, so this product nips that right in the bud. What you'll find is, after a short while the smaller birds will adjust their movements and comfortably flit between the hanging chains and the feeder. Following that they'll start to use them as perches when feeding or waiting their turn. Its important to partner this product with a standard feeder, as obviously a wide tray feeder for example will not work in conjunction. It will not defend against Starlings or similar sized birds.
