"Slow & Steady Goes the Turtle" is inspired by an ornate box turtle. These creatures live in sand prairies in Northern and Central Illinois but are rare sightings in Illinois. They are currently a threatened species in our state. This hand carved happy little turtle is proud to share with you that it is okay to take things slow.
