Prior to becoming a faculty member at Marquette/Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr.Weinfurt spent 31 years in the healthcare technology assessment, business development, medical device and medical information systems development at GE Healthcare and Marquette Medical Systems. For 13 years while working for industry, he also conducted strategic planning regarding issues of technology and quality for the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
