This guinomi sake cup is by Kasama-based ceramicist Shungo Nemoto. Completed in his signature ‘frost scales’ surface texture, it has the addition of white and black colour trails to his regular grey base. He refers to this as tobari, a poetic phrase associated with nightfall. The form and pattern have a striking effect. The matching sake katakuchi decanter is available separately. It is 6cm high, and 7cm in diameter. It weighs 130g, and contains 70ml of liquid when 80% full.
