It is processed by the washing station operated by Nova Coffee, a company that is committed to promoting gender equity and better coffee farming methods. Nova Coffee is headed by Agnes Mukamushinja and her husband Felix Hitayezu. Originally a nurse and pharmacist, Agnes and Felix sought to improve community livelihoods by purchasing and renovating an aging processing station to serve as a hub for local growers. Continued willingness to experiment, as shown with a variety of naturals and anaerobic coffees, reflect Nova’s push toward higher-quality processing and expanded market access for farmers in the Bukure sector.
