Millefiori Murano glass uses a mosaic technique where colorful, patterned glass canes (called murrine) are sliced and applied to hot glass, creating intricate, flower-like (or other) designs, resulting in unique, handcrafted items like jewelry, vases, and paperweights, famous for their vibrant, detailed patterns reminiscent of ancient mosaics. I love that there is a wide price range of items. I bought a gorgeous-but expensive-bowl in my first order, hoping once it caught my customers' attention, they would hopefully buy the less expensive items I had ordered. The first item I sold was that $400 glass bowl!! I have the glass displayed right when you first walk into my store with the sun shining on it, and it it never fails to be noticed...and admired...and often bought!
