Description
The Tuskaloosa Stern Line gets its name from the Native American chief “Tuskaloosa,” who once called the region of modern-day Alabama home. His name is derived from two words in the native language: “tashka” and “losa,” which together mean “Black Warrior.” Chief Tuskaloosa was captured by the Spanish explorer, Hernando de Soto, and taken to a village nearby. The native’s launched a surprise attack on Tuskaloosa’s captors but despite their efforts, they were ultimately defeated. Each of our nautical sunglass straps are made using high quality flat braided polypropylene rope, branded silicone end pieces, fine laser engraved leather, and solid brass rivets. Every single one is hand crafted in Charleston and made to withstand the elements. Our sunglass straps are machine washable and dryable. They air dry very quickly as well.
