The extra thick 8.2mm internal diameter is ideal for smoothies, yogurt, milk shakes, protein shakes, or drinking water fast. The 9.5mm outside diameter is too thick for some of our straw hole lids. Our 7 1/4″ long, 9.5mm outside diameter stainless steel straws fit in some of our straw hole lids and are perfect for drinking thicker beverages like smoothies, yogurt, or shakes. They feature our logo and have threads engraved to resemble a plastic straw. For juice, iced tea, coffee, soda, etc, most people prefer a thinner straw. But you can certainly drink any liquid through them! Mason jar straw hole lids can have different sized holes, so be sure to double check that your straws and lids are compatible.
