Discover one of our favorite antipasti: our whole Bella di Cerignola olives! These vegetables are grown and processed by two artisan brothers on their family lands in the Gargano Natural Park (Apulia, Italy) - a major agricultural territory in the Alto Tavoliere agricultural area - and are BRC food certified. They are harvested before maturity, hence their green color and firm, crunchy texture. They are then immersed whole in brine for preservation. This variety of olive has a strong, intense taste with a hint of bitterness, characteristic of olives from our region. The traditional Bella di Cerignola olive is a native olive of the village of Cerignola south of Serracapriola in Apulia. It is mainly cultivated for table olives and is best consumed green. In terms of health benefits, their reputation is well established: they are a source of antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Slightly salted, Bella di Cerignola olives are ideal to enjoy as antipasti or as ingredients for starters or side dishes. For the more indulgent, we recommend cooking them Ascoli-style - small appetizers typical of street food! + Its flesh easily detaches from the pit, allowing the olives to be stuffed!
