Honey Bee Pollen Granules - All Natural Raw Flower Pollen Granules Collected Straight from the Hive - Healthy Plant Protein Food Supplement Pollen is collected by the female honey bees from flowers. The bees store the collected pollen in little "pollen sacs" located on their legs and take it back to the hive where the pollen is stored in a honeycomb and used as their protein source. We harvest our raw bee pollen from our own honeybees using a special pollen collection trap. Our pollen collection traps are placed on our beehives and as the honey bees fly into the hive the pollen is gently brushed off of their legs. The pollen falls off the honeybees and lands on a screened tray where we collect the pollen daily and freeze the pollen until we are ready to sun dry the pollen to remove some of the moisture making it shelf-stable. Our process preserves the nutrients and flavor, as well as keeping our bee pollen at peak freshness.
