The Stegosaurus belongs to the genus of dinosaurs. It lived in North America 195 million years ago. The approximately 6 metre long and 2.5 metre high prehistoric animal had thick, double-row bone plates spread across its back and powerful spikes at the end of its tail to protect it from enemies. The stegosaur was a pure herbivore and only moved slowly on all fours. Due to its small head, it only had a small brain, but a second nervous system in the spinal cord that was ten times the size.
