From September 24th to 27th, 2024, Western North Carolina was ravaged by Hurricane Helene. This unprecedented event tore away people’s lives, homes, and livelihoods. One area majorly impacted was the River Arts District in Asheville, NC, where hundreds of pieces of art were lost to the floodwaters. A portion of the sales of these journals is being donated to the RADA (River Arts District Artists) Foundation to assist with their continuing recovery efforts and revitalization of the RAD. www.riverartsdistrict.com/donate Journal Designs: - “Union” by Kathryn “Ka” June (Serpent Feathers) is a beautiful representation of a soul in harmony. You can create harmony in your outer world only after you are able to find it within. When you give yourself unconditional love, you begin to attract all that love back through your connections with others. Remain open to whatever is being illuminated. Being accepting of your shadows and shortcomings allows you to radiate love and compassion. - “Owl at Night” by Ray Vincent is an invitation to tap into your power to see things from a higher perspective. Nothing that sticks out to you right now is by coincidence. You may not yet understand the full picture, but the Universe does. Just trust deep down in your heart that everything is always working out for your best and highest good. No matter what side of the wheel of life you feel you are on currently, things are always moving and changing. You can trust yourself to find the path ahead. - “Firefly Dance” by Claire Simpson Jones embodies the energy of reconnecting with the beauty and simplicity of the world, especially after difficult times. When all is lost, all is found. In this journal, you’ll find spreads that help you to start imagining what could come in place of what is now gone. This isn’t about naively thinking that everything will be easy now, but it is courageously believing that there is hope for a brighter future. Through this shift, you’ll find your true essence is revealed. You are inherently worthy. - “Snow Raven” by Jacqui Fehl is your invitation to explore and study your subconscious mind. Trust your intuition. Your intuitive powers are strong at this time, and the answers that you are receiving will highlight key points of focus for you. Be open to receiving guidance, signs, and wisdom from beyond. Allow yourself to stay curious through this process. With your intuitive ability, you may already be able to see the tree in the seed, but stay tapped into wondering how it will grow. - “Ace of Swords” by Julie Armbruster was inspired by the tarot card of the same name. On the cover, Wisteria the witch and her familiar, Juanita, are using their 3rd eye energy to break up the storm clouds and release the trapped emotions held within. They are assisted by a feisty wampus kitten who encourages female empowerment and dispels negative energies. It focuses on breaking through feelings of not-enoughness, letting go of comparison to others, and knowing that y
