Rebecca, one of our artisans in Costa Rica, used a backstrap loom to handmake these beautiful tapestries! This technique is passed down among the Boruca people group, creating intricate and colorful designs exclusive to their tribe. Even the wooden dowel that the tapestry hangs on was whittled from the tree branches indigenous to their area!
