Made By Småland Carl Axel Magnus Lindman 1856-1928 Botanist and illustrator Carl Axel Magnus Lindman and Flora of the North Flora of the North is among botanist Carl Axel Magnus Lindman's most famous works. The images in the first edition (1901–1905) were based on copper plates from J W Palmstruch's Swedish Botany, published 1802–43, but for the second edition, Lindman created 144 images in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences' illustrator Axel Ekblom.
