These hand-painted Lettuce Face earrings are like catnip for lovers of weird jewelry! Inspired by one of the most celebrated women artist in France in the early 1800s - the extremely long-named Antoinette Cecile Hortense Haudebourt-Lescot. She was a child prodigy that was taken on as student by a professional history painter at just 10 years old before embarking on a brilliant career painting royal portraits and scenes from daily life. Customers can wear these earrings and have a background story to tell when they get the inevitable compliments! These lettuce earrings come in two sizes: large and small. Large measure about 2.5 inches from top of the leaf to the bottom of the chin; Small are about 1.5 inches from top to bottom. As a bonus, each earring is individually hand-painted, so no two are exactly alike.

This is my 3rd time ordering - they are constantly selling out in our Art Museum store!! Our visitors LOVE them. My single only wish is the material was a little more eco-friendly while still keeping the bright colors, but I also understand the material was chosen for a reason.
