Inspired by the beautiful blue-and-white pottery made famous by Wedgwood, this statement necklace celebrates one of my favorite color combinations. The soft blue vintage cameos remind me of classic jasperware while giving this piece a fresh, wearable look. Each necklace is made to order in my Texas studio using hand-selected vintage acrylic cameos from my personal collection. Because these cameos come from vintage warehouse finds collected over many years, every necklace is slightly different. If one of the cameos shown has already been used, I'll choose another that matches the same color, style and overall feel. No two necklaces are ever exactly alike. I love working with vintage cameos because they connect us to a long tradition of jewelry making. The earliest cameos were carved by hand from shell and stone, and later generations made beautifully detailed acrylic versions that allowed more people to enjoy this timeless art form. I enjoy giving these forgotten treasures a brand new life. Every necklace is assembled by hand with vintage components and finished with a large USA-made brass lobster clasp that adjusts up to approximately 23 inches for a comfortable fit.
