Soak spruce seeds in water for 24 hours. Then place seeds in a loosely closed plastic bag in the freezer for 3 to 4 weeks. Remove seeds carefully and plant 1/2 inch deep in growing medium. Keep soil damp until seedlings emerge and then place in a sunny area and water when top of soil appears dry. Transplant to a larger pot when plants are well established.
