They made their way through the Carolinas and were sold to a rich plantation owner in Atlanta, Georgia by the name of John Perry. During a family reunion in Ellaville, Georgia, Charles learned of his relationship to a family of Kings. He was absolutely elated when he learned of this exhilarating news about his family heritage. His mother informed him all about his family tree. Author Biography Charles Vickers is a native of Daytona Beach, Florida. He first appeared on stage at the tender age of six. He was chosen to sing the Lord's Prayer by the late Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune at her college program. The event was held at White Hall on the campus of Bethune Cookman College. Mrs. Bethune asked Mrs. Evelyn Bonner to bring the Bonner's choir members to sing the Lord's Prayer.
